Spring Creek Ranch Switches to G-Oil for Fleet of Vehicles

JACKSON, WYOMING – Spring Creek Ranch, a resort located in a wildlife refuge in Jackson, Wyo., is using biodegradable G-Oil made from beef tallow for its fleet of service vehicles. It is the first resort in the United States to use the 5W30 G-Oil. Stephen Price, general manager and co-owner of the resort, said, It is the right thing to do as responsible citizens. Eighteen resort vehicles used for transportation, shuttles, maintenance, housekeeping and room service plus personal cars are using the green oil.
Spring Creek Ranch is a luxury destination resort near the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Guests of the resort will learn about the new effort and will be encouraged to ask about how they might switch to the more environmentally friendly alternative. The switch to G-Oil is just the latest of the green initiatives at Spring Creek. Other efforts include recycling, reforestation of the property with more than 1,000 trees, subsidizing studies to improve wildlife habitat and incentives for homeowners to use eco-friendly construction practices.
Spring Creek Ranch is working with Teton Motors of Jackson, Wyo., on the changeover from the use of fossil fuels. As

G-Oil is manufactured by Green Earth Technologies Inc. (GETG) with bulk distribution available through Green Planet Products. GETG products are 100 percent biodegradable and carry a hazmat rating of zero; the oils completely biodegrade within 28 days. The 5W30 weight is API certified. Unlike fossil fuel based motor oils, G-Oil does not need to be heated to 700 to 800 degrees in the manufacturing resulting in an additional savings of fossil fuel use.
