Schenectady casino kicks off hiring

The future Rivers Casino and Resort at Mohawk Harbor in Schenectady has posted some available jobs online, kicking off the search for more than a thousand employees.

Rush Street Gaming of Chicago has posted five positions on casinocareers.com, a gaming and hospitality industry jobs website. The positions include director of hotel operations and director of sales.

The Rivers Casino is now being erected on the Mohawk Harbor site off Erie Boulevard in Schenectady with the foundation in place and steel going up by local contractors Rifenburg of Troy and LeChase of Schenectady.

The $330 million casino is expected to be built and opened by March of next year, according to Rush Street CEO Greg Carlin.
