Rivers Casino & Resort
Schenectady’s newest hotel is also the first business to open at the $150 million Mohawk Harbor development.The four-story, 124-room Courtyard Schenectady at Mohawk Harbor by Marriott is off Erie Boulevard (official address: 240 Harborside Drive).
The hotel, which opened last week, is among several investments on the riverfront by the developer, The Galesi Group of Rotterdam, New York.
Still to come are the $27 million HarborCenter, a 100,000-square-foot retail/office complex, and a 206-unit apartment building called The Riverhouse that has about 47,000 square feet of retail space along a promenade overlooking a newly dug harbor.
The Mohawk Harbor development is near the $330 million Rivers Casino & Resort that’s scheduled to open in February or March 2017. The casino will have its own hotel.
