Galesi Group to Build 100,000 Square Feet/Invest $5 Million at Rotterdam Corporate Park

Rotterdam, N.Y., March 27, 2018 – The Galesi Group, one of the largest real estate developers in Upstate New York, today announced plans to build a 100,000 square feet addition to Building 9 at the Rotterdam Corporate Park investing more than $5 million in Schenectady County.
Galesi Group CEO David M. Buicko said, “We built Building 9 in 2016 with 100,000 square feet of space and landed several new tenants including American Medical Depot. Just two years later, we are pleased to announce a 100,000 square foot expansion fueled by strong demand for space at the Rotterdam Corporate Park. We thank the Town of Rotterdam and Metroplex for working with us to move forward with this new investment.”
Rotterdam Town Supervisor Steve Tommasone said, “This expansion shows that the Rotterdam Corporate Park continues to lead the way in creating new jobs. We are building new space to meet the demands of growing companies and I would like to thank the Galesi Group for this investment in our community’s future.”
The Rotterdam Corporate Park has 4 million square feet of space and is the largest business park in the Capital Region. Tenants include the Galesi Group’s Distribution Unlimited, Union Pacific Railroad, Fedex Freight, Golub Corporation, GE, J&B Importers, ITR America, Captech Logistics, American Medical Depot, Huff N Puff and many others.
Ray Gillen, Chair of the Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority said, “We welcome this major expansion of Building 9 at the Rotterdam Corporate Park and thank the Galesi Group for this latest investment in our community as we continue our efforts to attract new businesses, tax base and jobs to Schenectady County.”
The Rotterdam Corporate Park is located at the crossroads of Route 7, I-90 and I-88.
