Galesi Group marks half-century in Capital Region
It was 50 years ago Wednesday that Francesco Galesi closed the deal to purchase the former Voorheesville Army Depot, now the Northeastern Industrial Park and the first area acquisition for what would become the Galesi Group.
Galesi ended up acquiring all three area military depots. More recently, it has changed the Schenectady waterfront with its $500 million Mohawk Harbor development.
“All three of these former military depots are now thriving business parks, said Galesi CEO David Buicko. In all, the company operates in a dozen states.
