Dining Options Announced for Rivers Casino & Resort
SCHENECTADY — Rivers Casino & Resort will offer a variety of dining options on site, including some local favorites, the casino announced Sunday.
The casino will partner with Mallozzi Restaurant Group, which operates multiple restaurants and a bakery in Schenectady, and will oversee the restaurants on the casino property. Dining options will include a pair of Schenectady establishments and a couple of restaurants from other Rush Street Gaming properties. In addition, the casino will feature Dukes Chophouse, a casual steakhouse.
Rivers Casino & Resort, which is owned by Rush Street Gaming, is set for a February opening on the Mohawk Harbor site, though an official date has yet to be announced. Prior to Sunday, the name of the chophouse had not been shared publicly.
Dukes Chophouse will be located near the gaming floor of the casino and feature seating for more than 100 guests, as well as an outdoor patio. The restaurant was named after Tony “The Duke” DeLorenzo, the first employee of The Galesi Group, which is the Rotterdam-based developer of the Mohawk Harbor site.
“Tony was an ambassador of goodwill not only for The Galesi Group, but for the entire Capital Region,” said David Buicko, CEO of The Galesi Group.
The other four dining options will be located in a marketplace setting and be surrounded by seating.
Those include two of the Mallozzi Group’s Schenectady restaurants that will open locations on the casino property.
