A View from Above: Copter Provides Unique Look at New Projects, Old Favorites
From the air, everything looks different.
On Thursday, Gazette photographer Marc Schultz and I took a helicopter ride to get an aerial view of ongoing projects and popular sites in Schenectady.
We got a look at the Mohawk Harbor site off Erie Boulevard, where construction is quickly moving ahead for the Rivers Casino and Resort at Mohawk Harbor.
The steel structure is already erected for the Rivers Casino, with the outer shell starting to be constructed followed by interior work. The casino is expected to open by early next year.
