Horizon Solutions to expand at new Guilderland site

A distributor in the Northeast will open a new site in Guilderland, N.Y., next month.

Horizon Solutions LLC, which distributes a range of electrical, industrial and safety products, is moving into an 80,000-square-foot site within the Northeastern Industrial Park, owned by Rotterdam-based developer Galesi Group. Horizon announced the move on Tuesday.

The site will serve as Horizon’s main distribution center. Horizon will consolidate distribution operations in seven other locations in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and New York into the Guilderland facility.

Horizon’s current sales office in Colonie, which has 23 employees, will relocate to the new site. The new site will also feature a training center for customers.

Fourteen jobs will be created by the move to Guilderland, Horizon said.
